Weekly Beauty Tip #81: Be kind to your under eyes

The under eye area is the thinnest, most delicate and sensitive skin on the entire body. Be gentle with it. When applying product, pat on and lightly blend rather than tugging and pulling.

Weekly Beauty Tip #80: Concealer for under eyes

To conceal dark circles under the eyes, a yellow or orange toned concealer is best. It will help cancel out the blue/purple tones.

Weekly Beauty Tip #79: Use caution with glitter near the eyes

This is more of a public service safety announcement, rather than a tip. It is still very important and not something that many people pay attention to. Any time you use glitter near your eyes, make sure it is eye safe!! Do not use any glitter that isn't marked as eye safe and especially do not use craft glitter or nail glitter. If you use any sort of non eye safe glitter, you are risking damage to your eyes. If that glitter gets into your eye, it can scratch up your cornea and could potentially blind you.

Weekly Beauty Tip # 78 Pluck eyebrows after a shower

The best time to pluck your eyebrows is after a shower. The steam from a shower will soften the hair and open your pores so that the hair will come out more easily.

Weekly Beauty Tip #77: Trick for lasting lipstick.

Valentines day is tomorrow, ladies! To keep your lipstick on (and not on that special someone) Try these little tips:

1. Apply a lip primer before your lipstick. This will make a big difference.

2. Apply lipstick then blot with a tissue.

3. Lightly pat on some translucent powder

4. Apply another coat of lipstick and you're good to go!

Weekly Beauty Tip #76: Exfoliate before applying a serum

Before applying any sort of serum to your face, it is best to exfoliate. Getting rid of all of the dry/dead skin will help the serum sink in and work better. Also remember to apply a moisturizer on top to seal it in and of course moisturize.

Weekly Beauty Tip #74: Invest in a good foundation

It is important to invest in a good foundation, rather than to buy what might be the cheapest (even though there are some great low priced foundations out there). Using a good foundation (remember to get one in the right shade and formula for your skin type) should keep your skin from breakouts and irritation while also making your skin (plus the overall makeup look) look better.

Weekly Beauty Tip #71: Where to apply perfume

Perfume should be applied to the pulse points of your body. These are the spots that release the most heat and allow perfume to rise and radiate throughout the day. It basically will help your perfume last all day.

These are the points:

-Inside of the wrists
-Inside of the elbows
-Behind the ear
-Base of the throat
-Behind the knee

I wouldn't recommend  spraying on every spot unless you wear a very light scent or just want a strong scent. If you want a lighter scent strength pick 2-3 max.

Weekly Beauty Tip #70 Do not rub perfume

When you apply perfume to the wrists, do not rub them together. It will break up the chemical makeup of the perfume and make it not only not last as long, but it may change the scent.

Weekly beauty tip #68: Tip for stubborn pimples

If you have a stubborn pimple and an important event to go to, try poking a hole in an Advil (or generic brand) liquid gel and putting the liquid from it onto the pimple. It won't make it disappear, but it will help the swelling go down and help with the redness making it easier to cover up with makeup.

Weekly Beauty tip #67 Turn any eyeshadow into eyeliner

Mix some eyeshadow with an eyeliner or makeup sealer to turn any eyeshadow into eyeliner.

This can also work with water, but in my experience it doesn't last as long with just water. A great and cheap (also what I use) sealer is ELF Makeup Lock & Seal. It is this great little kit  that comes with a little bottle of the Lock & Seal, a small mixing pot and a brush.

You can also mix any setting spray, such as Urban Decay All Nighter, or ELF Mist and Set with eyeshadow and get the same result.

For fuller lashes, try lightly dusting baby powder onto your eyelashes. You can even do this between coats of mascara, before you apply your mascara or without mascara at all for a more natural look.

Weekly Beauty Tip #64: Tip for healing chapped lips

When you have chapped lips, try exfoliating with a lip scrub then applying a moisturizing lip balm on top. Next apply a layer of Vaseline. The Vaseline step is even more important when going to bed.

Exfoliating will help eliminate the chapped skin, moisturizing balm will help to moisturize and heal, and the Vaseline will seal in the moisture which ultimately will help it heal faster. This is what I do whenever my lips get chapped.

Weekly Beauty Tip #63: How to correctly apply under eye concealer

You should apply your under eye concealer in a triangular shape. Go from each outer corner of the eye to the top of the cheekbone. If you apply it in a half moon (or curved) shape, it won't conceal as well and it will accentuate any puffiness.

Weekly Beauty Tip #62: Eyebrows need not match

Your eyebrows do not need to match perfectly. Most of the time, they look better asymmetrically. They will also look more natural this way.
